Nithya Menon, who has showcased her acting skills through the Mohanlal movieAkashagopuram by K P Kumaran has landed in the Malayalam film industry by sheer coincidence. She quotes "It happened very strangely and was almost like destiny. I was in the middle of my 12th exams when I had appeared on the cover of a tourism book. Mohanlal saw the picture and I got a call from the film's director. He talked to me and I was selected for the role. Everything happened very quickly".
She has never done playback singing for her native movies but for Ala Modalaindi she sang two beautiful numbers. The makers actually wanted her for one song but after seeing how beautiful her voice was, they made her croon for the second. The curly haired actress is starring with Nani in the film directed by Nandini Reddy on Sri Ranjit Movies banner. KL Damodar Prasad is the producer. The film stars Kriti Kharbanda and Sneha Ullal in important roles.
