(Telugu: Aamini was an Telugu Actress (born 16 November 1973) is one of the best actresses in early 90's in Telugu cinema.[peacock term] She started her career doing small roles in movies like Aadadhi (starring Saradha, Siva Krishna, Yamuna etc.). She played the role of a vamp in this movie. She first appeared as heroine opposite Naresh in the movie Jambalakidipamba. The movie turned out to be a hit as a comedy entertainer. After a few movies, she was offered a very good role by Bapu (famous director in Telugu Cinema) in the movie Mister Pellam. Her performance in this movie was honored with the Nandi Award for Best Actress.[citation needed]

She paired with famous stars in Tollywood like Nagarjuna in Gharana Bullodu, Balakrishna in
Vamsaanikokkadu, Krishna in PachaniSamsaaram and Ammadonga, Kamal haasan in Subhasankalpam, Jagapathi babu in many more films, including Mister Pellam, Subhalagnam, Subha Sankalpam, Maavichiguru. She won the Nandi award for Best Actress for the second time for her performance in Subha Sankalpam. After a hiatus of many years, she appeared in the movie Aa Naluguru pairing with Rajendra Prasad. In this movie, she acts as a lady who is torn between the love for her husband and her children.

Aamani is one of the leading performers in Telugu cinema from the early 90’s. She started her career doing relatively smaller roles. One such performance was in the film Aadadhi where she played the vamp.

Aamani’s first role as a heroine was in the movie Jambalakidipamba. She paired against the Telugu actor Naresh in this comic entertainer. She continued her good work in the industry which led to one of her biggest breaks. Famous Telugu director Bapu offered her a role in his film Mr Pellam which turned out to be one of her most memorable performances. Aamani also won the prestigious Nandi Award in the Best Actress category. This was the first time she received the award.

This achievement set the tone for her career and she was paired against popular Tollywood star Nagarjuna in the film Gharana Bullodu. She was also offered a role with the Kamal Hassan, the film industry maestro, in the film Subha Sankalpam. Directed by K Vishwanath, the film was a great success, further cementing her place in the industry. She also won the Nandi Award in the Best Actress category for her performance in this film.

After an extended lul in her career, Aamani made her return with the film Aa Naluguru starring opposite actor Rajendra Prasad. The film did extremely well and

Aamani successfully bagged another hit. Being one of the most revered actors of the 1990’s, Aamani left her mark on the Telugu film industry as one of the most talented actors around.
