Senior actor and ex MAA president, Rajahmundry MP Murali Mohan has been chosen for the Padma Bhushan award this year. But looks like it might brew a storm within the industry, though not a big one, albeit of a smaller size.
There are some ihn the industry who feel that Murali Mohans nomination is purely on the basis of his proximity with Chandra Babu and TDP.
Though the Andhra Pradesh government had nominated him in the past, Centre did not confer the award on him.
This year, Murali Mohan is once again being nominated for Padma Bhushan. Talk is that some people in the industry feel that the honour has to go to Kaikala Satyanarayana who is a veteran and a prominent actor in the Telugu film industry.
They say that when compared to Satyanarayana, Murali Mohan is relatively younger and that nominating Satyanarayana would be more appropriate. |
