F2 Movie Review

Release Date: Saturday 12th January 2019

Cast: Venkatesh, Varun Tej, Tamanna, Mehreen, Prakash Raj, Jhansi, Priyadarshi, Subbaraju, Nasser and others

Venky (Venkatesh) marries Haarika (Tamannah). They lead fun life for six months but later petty issues between them make Venky get frustrated.

Haarikas sister Honey (Mehreen) falls in love with Borabanda Varun Yadav (Varun Tej) and their wedding is fixed. But his life changes after his marriage date is fixed.

The frustrated Venky and Varun head to Europe leaving the sisters in frustration.

Rest of the drama is how the sisters teach them a lesson.

Director Anil Ravipudi is one director who gives more importance to comedy than the plot. The stories of his movies are not unique but he tells them entertainingly. In F2, he has a big ace  Venkatesh, whose comic timing is legendary (who would forget his Nuvvu Naku Nachavu).

Banking on Venkatesh, he has narrated this simple movie about a frustrated husband and a would be husband. The director has created lot of fun out of their frustration.

He begins the movie in a police cell in Europe and introduces the life of Venkatesh. The story of Venkatesh commences on a hilarious note. He gets married to Tamannah and how frustration appears in his life is told in a comic manner.

The scenes are not new but Anil Ravipudi must have written all of them keeping Venky in mind. Even when the scenes dont involve Venkatesh, they have provided lot of fun.

Actors like Jhansi, Pragathi and Raghu Babu have given their best output to change the simple scenes into hilarious ones. Every character makes us laugh. Though Varun Tejs introduction is plain, he gets the act right after few scenes.

Till the interval, there is nonstop fun. One of the funniest scene in the first half is Venkatesh narrating his married life to a dog and the dogs expresses empathy.

Director Anil Ravipudi is in great form in the entire first half. Even post interval, he continues the fun factor and also throws some mass elements like showing the heroines in bikini and other act. However, the Prakash Rajs episode in Europe is not that funny.

While the first half was lot of fun, less frustration, the reverse happens in Prakash Rajs episode. Still, the film never misses entertainment and ends in funny manner with Venky giving a fun advice to all the husbands to listen to their wives.

Anil Ravipudi has this knack for carrying one catchphrase in the entire movie at regular intervals to generate laughs. Here he has used Anthega Anthega at right places.

Does this film have novel storyline No. Does this provide paisa vasool fun Yes. Is it worth a watch for this festival Anthega Anthega

Despite its formulaic narration and predictable second half, the movie makes an entertaining watch.
